At MPA’s monthly breakfast meeting, we will hear from multifamily housing experts regarding their Tucson projects, the trends that are influencing student and market rate housing, market rate demographics, whether or not we are getting built out in key locations, as well as plans for future projects.

Our esteemed panel of presenters include:

Eric Grimm, Chief Development Officer with Core Spaces, developer of student housing Hub 1-4 and OLIV at Main Gate.

Eric is a partner and Chief Development Officer of Core Spaces. As the CDO, Eric is responsible for implementing the company’s strategic vision of new development assets and value-add acquisitions by providing leadership and expertise to the Development Team. Eric is involved in the development feasibility, financial analysis, due diligence, project design, entitlements, permitting and general contractor procurement of each new development. In addition, Eric serves alongside the company’s COO as the chief liaison between the Development and Management teams. In that role, he is responsible for the seamless transition of each project from the development phase to operations and management.  Eric has been with Core since the company’s inception and has developed over 1.5 million square feet of ground-up, mixed-use developments. Most notably, he was responsible for the development of two of Core’s award-winning communities, including the Hub on Campus located in Tempe, Arizona, as well as the Hub at Madison in Madison, Wisconsin. These two projects are widely considered the most acclaimed and desirable student housing assets in the country.  Eric has a diverse background in the building industry with over a decade of experience in architecture, construction, and development. He has managed all phases of work, from site acquisition through project turnover on over $1 billion dollars in projects. Eric is a University of Illinois graduate with a Master’s Degrees in Architecture and Civil Engineering.

Ross McCallister, Principal with MC Companies, developer of The Place Apartments, multiple locations in Arizona and Texas.

Ross McCallister has proven that one can do anything with desire and determination.  His experience in all aspects of real estate is most powerfully leveraged in his leadership of construction and business development.  He brings over 30 years of experience in operations including acquisition, investment analysis, financing, project management, and client relations.  Ross has developed, constructed and managed multi-family communities and condominium conversion projects in excess of $1 Billion throughout Arizona, Oregon, and Nevada. Ross is a licensed general contractor. He is past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arizona Multi-Housing Association, past Chairman of Metropolitan Tucson Housing Commission, and past Chairman of the Office of the Governor’s Arizona Housing Finance Authority Board. Ross currently serves on Pima County Real Estate Research Council.  Ross believes his knowledge was meant to be shared and does so willingly.  He is a guest instructor at both the University of Arizona and New Mexico State University where he enjoys the chance to interact with students who have the desire and determination to succeed.

Andrew Titche, CPM, Vice President of Operations with HSL Asset Management, multifamily operator in Arizona.

 As Vice President of Operations at HSL, Andrew is responsible for the day-to-day operations of 10,000 multifamily units.  During his tenure with HSL, Andrew has led the company through several phases of growth and value creation through implementation of innovative industry leading software and processes.  Andrew directs a team of Operations and IT professionals with the goal of not only maximizing each asset’s potential, but also ensuring the expectations of HSL residents and employees are exceeded at every opportunity.  Andrew brings a successful track record of 27 years of experience in both the multifamily and single family rental spaces in Arizona, as well as nationally.  Prior to joining HSL, Andrew held the position of Vice President & National Director of Property Management for a single family home rental company.  Andrew was instrumental in managing the company’s growth and operations from start-up to over 15,000 homes across 11 states.  Andrew received his BA from Purdue University and holds the designation of Certified Property Manager from the Institute of Real Estate Management.
