The Public Policy Committee serves as a strategic advisory body guiding MPA’s engagement with public sector policy and code changes. It identifies high-impact policies, provides staff with thoughtful, actionable feedback, and enables the Board to take informed positions on issues affecting the industry.
A Member-led approach ensures inclusivity in evaluation and action on issues brought to the Committee, developing substantive comments on proposed policies, shaping and amplifying the Organization’s ability to advocate for balanced land use and development policies and procedures.
Monthly in-person meetings featuring policy presentations, and in-person subcommittee sessions, the Public Policy Committee is the driving force behind advocacy and education at MPA. The Committee identifies key policy changes and industry trends to be presented at our Monthly Membership Breakfasts, providing our Membership at large with timely and relevant information, offering attendees a competitive advantage through education and awareness.
