Join MPA and other engaged members to learn more about public policy and process issues facing the development community in Southern Arizona. Our Policy Committee meets monthly and features a new topic of discussion along with exploring ongoing issues.
Our April meating will focus on an update from Eric Shepp, Director of Pima County’s Flood Control District. Eric will be reviewing the proposed changes to the County’s Hydrologic Modeling policy and implementation plan. MPA and our Members have been working with staff on this ammednment over the course of the last 12 months. This proposed update changes the methodolgy of how future anticipated rainfall is measured. The result of the change in methadology dictates infrastructure needs for both residential and non-residentail developments, potentially adding costs and reducing the developable area of projects in Pima County.
