Metropolitan Pima Alliance Wild Ride 2008

Thursday, May 8 2008

Welcome to the Metropolitan Pima Alliance’s (MPA’s) 2008 Wild Ride Tour: MPA on a Mission, Along the Anza Trail. This is the fifth annual Wild Ride Tour, and it is a unique opportunity for public and private community stakeholders to see “on the ground” and “in the field” results of technical studies, land use planning and development decisions. We are happy to provide this opportunity for you to get out of the office and see first hand development in Pima County’s and northern Santa Cruz County’s “hot spots.”  In addition, the tour will provide you with background on the land uses, cultural and historical information and the process being used to implement a vision for this area.

You will also have an opportunity to:

  • Compare the projects visually with the planning guidelines and development criteria.
  • Ask questions and engage in discussions regarding land use policy with those that influence and make decisions.  See how state and local agency policy has shaped growth and development in the area.
  • Learn the background on projects that faced and addressed unique challenges.
  • Engage in constructive dialogue with a diverse group of private and public sector stakeholders.
