As part of our work throughout the community, MPA hosts an annual event called Wild Ride. This event gives the community an opportunity to see a ground-level view of the land use planning and development process. MPA chooses a region to explore and then creates an entire program based around the development of that area. Hundreds of people from all over the community attend this extremely informative event. Attendees include elected officials, government staff, business leaders, and community activists. This event is not only an education, it is also a remarkable networking and marketing event due to the diversity of the attendees.
-
This year’s event is focusing on Tucson downtown. Buses will traverse the future Modern Streetcar route and presentations will be given regarding current and future projects along this vital path. As part of the program, infill development practices will also be discussed by experts in this area. Downtown Tucson development is critical to our region’s future so this event is pertinent for those wishing to be a part of current and future downtown projects.
